Bright Room in Apt. with clean, non-smoker grad-students near Orange Line (Shared Housing)

Our apartment is located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a 2 family house in a quiet neighborhood and is only a 4-6 minute walk away from the Oak Grove T stop (Orange Line). Malden offers a great connection to Boston (~12 min to North Station and is... ideal if you need to get to downtown, Suffolk, Emerson, Northeastern or MGH). Assembly Square with its new outlet stores and restaurants is only 4 stops away by T.

Altogether we have three bathrooms and the one you would be using is shared with one other person.

The kitchen also has most of the appliances you will need.

Some utilities are included in the rent: (Wireless internet and free laundry). See below for more details. If you have a car, there is off-street parking for an additional $50 per month.

We have a cleaning service that comes in 2x per month to take care of common areas: Kitchen, Bathrooms, Living Rooms and Staircases.

You'll be staying in a somewhat international house with 4 other roommates. Naturally, we are from different places (US and non-US), we speak several languages or are studying them; are currently three students (Suffolk, Northeastern and New England Law School) and two young working professionals. Besides that, we are friendly and green (our energy is 100% renewable and we do recycle).

Furniture: Your room comes with a full-size bed, an AC (in the summer), space heater, a chest of drawers and a bookshelf. A desk is available if needed.

A major grocery store (Stop and Shop) is only a 10 min walk away. You can also choose to get off at Malden Center to walk there (5 min) and then hop back on the train, but it’s more convenient to just walk.
Some of us shop at Traders Joes at Assembly • Some at Whole Foods on Cambridge Street in Boston.
There is also a Super 88 (Asian grocery store)) close to Stop and Shop.

Malden’s city center was just rebuilt and opened a couple of years ago with an all-new look, coffee shops and more. There is also a Bank of America and Citizen’s Bank branches, CVS, Walgreen’s, T-Mobile, etc, and hands down a very delicious pizza place (New York Pizza at 421 Main St.). Our street is getting repaved in October 2024, so pardon our appearance!

Up the street is Melrose, which is another great little community for food and coffee places.

Unfortunately, we can’t have pets.
